Last night, I quickly put together a video about how Julia transforms work in iterated function series flames. By “Julia”, I mean julian, juliaq, julia3D, julia3Dz, etc. – The transforms in JWildfire labeled with “julia” (except salamander and one other, I think). I know Apophysis has many of these as well.
I don’t know about you, but I had a headache trying to change the album cover art that displays in VLC. If you recall, VLC automatically downloads cover art for your music. What you should also know is: when you save a playlist VLC CACHES THE ARTWORK! That’s really annoying when you have the WRONG album art. So in this post, I’m going to tell you how to change it. Hurray!
My first post on Japanese, offering you some tools and accompanying advice (most of which is in the latter half of this article).
First, if you don’t know what .hack is, see my post on the .hack franchise.
.hack//Quantum takes place in the World R:X, another generation of the MMORPG developed by CC Corp. The story is about three girls who hang out in the world: Sakuya, Mary, and Tobias. The first is a rambunctious character who inadvertently leads her friends into a cyber trap, and the fun goes on from there.
Newgrounds has definitely undergone some changes over the years. It used to be primarily for music (Newgrounds Audio Portal), but now it’s home to art and video games as well.
This blog is not intended for anime reviews and I have no intention of turning it into one (for one thing, I don’t watch enough anime). But, having watched Last Exile this past summer and having just finished Last Exile – Fam the Silver Wing (which I frequently refer to as “Last Exile 2”), I’d like now to give my commentary and provide critique and comparison of the Last Exile stories. But first, the summaries, since that’s what people are most interested in:
This is my first post on this blog using a Linux-based operating system. Currently, I’m running Linux Mint, supposedly the 4th most-used operating system in the world. I used to not think anyone but geeks used Linux OSes, but this package of software is pretty nice. I’m hoping to call this distro “home”. That’s in stark contrast to my comments about it not much more than a year earlier: “Oh isn’t that a cute OS. I’ll never install that thing on my PC”. It’s also in stark contrast to my optimism in trying a “truly” free software distro, Dynebolic. Allow me to compare experiences…
Allow me to introduce you to Narcissu, produced by Stage Nana (here, let’s translate some of that). There are three visual novels (two being free to play): the Narcissu (the original), Narcissu Side 2nd, and Narcissu 3rd – Die Dritte Welt. (And yes, the story does reference narcissus (daffodils) ). I read through the first two (the third is in Japanese-only, so I couldn’t read it even if I had it) and found it very thought-provoking. I will give you a brief summary of the games without giving any spoilers (unless I have no other info), and then I will give you my detailed reviews.
dot hack is awesome. Of course, I should specify what it is and what I like about it, (there are some things I don’t like).
