Yonder is a new game. I like to help indie devs, so today I thought I’d call out and comment on a new game set to hit the PS4 and Windows markets this July. Called “Yonder: The Cloud Catcher Chronicles”, it’s primarily an exploration and building game targeted it a casual audience: no fighting and very little “story”. Irrlicht on PS4 and Successful Game Characters
irrlicht – extensions
irrlicht is a 3D engine. While it has it’s own independent drawing capabilities, it’s primarily used as a wrapper for OpenGL and DirectX. More importantly: it’s free, open-source, and developed by a great community.
One of the nice features about the engine is it’s built-in GUI system.
I decided to extend the GUI system, making it easier to add GUI elements as well as adding new ones. These I’ve put on my website, on the Irrlicht Expansion Project page. You can read the short descriptions of things there, but I’d like to ramble and explain my reasoning for starting those projects and maybe you’ll get an idea of what they are primarily intended for… or not. OCRemix Profiles: William Harby “Will Rock”
Will Harby is obsessed with making music, and he’s got quite a reputation for it – a sort of mini fame he’s proud to have. Aside from OCRemix, his music is also on Youtube (duh), Soundcloud, and Myspace. In more recent news, he’s been made an official “judge” on OCRemix – which means he’s one of the guys who will be deciding on whether your submissions pass.
